Human Rights Factory students Participate in a Symposium Organized by AlBireh Municipality
A group representing the Human Rights Factory “HRF” from Muwatin Institute for Democracy and Human Rights at Birzeit University, participated in a symposium titled "Our Study Destination". The symposium was held on Wednesday, 23 July 2025, in Dar Hall at the Al-Bireh Municipality.
Students Natalie Abu Salha, Salam Al-Batma, and Yumna Assi from the HRF participated in the symposium, among other representatives from various Palestinian universities. The event was organized by Al-Bireh Municipality as part of the activities of the House of Wisdom, affiliated with the Al-Bireh Municipality. The event targets prospective college students of high school students who have completed their high school exams, and are interested in learning about Palestinian universities and the majors they offer, as well as learning about the students' cultural and social experiences during their university life on campus.
In his opening remarks, Saad Amireh gave an introductory overview of the House of Wisdom and its objectives. The meeting, moderated by Dr. Amin Nawahdeh, included contributions from a number of academics and experts in medical, information technology, and humanities specialties, as well as inspiring student experiences that embodied learning by doing and community engagement. The students shared their academic, cultural, and social experiences at their various universities.
Representatives from the HRF discussed with students and audience, the importance of the cultural and social life during their study in the University of Birzeit. In addition they highlighted how their affiliation with the HRF and enhanced their knowledge on their rights as youth, and increased their opportunity to communicate with their peers whom they share similar interests with, and provided a platform to learn new skills.
